My name is Derek Wibberley, better known to my friends as Denzil Dexter (don't ask, ha ha), i started playing the guitar at very early age, iv'e played in a few bands over the years, even a Glam Rock band when i lived i Germany. Iv'e worked with Rick and Andy off and on for a while, thats when the idea for The Love Vandals happened. I was sick of playing the same old crap so we decided to do something a bit different, i hope you enjoy..jpg)
I use a Yamaha (fender copy) custom built with a Marshall Valvestate 2000 combo, a Zoom GFX-707 effects processor and a AVT foot controller, i also use a Sure SM58 and loads of wire's. Andy - Drums/Vocals
I started playing the drums at the age of 17, i had lessons with a private tutor then had more lessons at 25 with the drummer from the Buzzcocks. I previously played in a band from Oldham called The Runs (for 8 years),before going to live in Huddersfield, i lived their for 4 years and joined The Band of Oz (very well established Yorkshire Band) i've now moved back to Oldham and helped form The Love Vandals with Derek our Guitarist. I'm the youngest of the Wibberley clan, i was bought my first bass guitar at the age of 20, i became a bedroom rock star playing guitar hero, ha ha. I formed a band with my friend Carl but that stayed in the garage. My brother Derek asked if i would like to join The Love Vandals. The most important thing i use is our Smoke Machine, i also use a Spirit headless bass made by Steinberger with a head thumping Laney Bass amp. Oh and loads of wire's. |
I use a Premier Artist Maple in pearl white with Zildjian 'A' and 'Z' custom cymbals and all Premier 4000 series hardware. Shure SM58 mic and various drum mic's.
